Ah, the lord giveth (Alex Trebek a minor heart attack), the lord taketh away (Ike Turner)... That works for me. Such as everyone has already mentioned; he certainly contributed a great amount of musical talent to the world but his abusive nature flushed his career down the toilet (sorry, still have that glittery poop story in my head). Thankfully Tina is the strong gal she is to fight back and leave.

RIP Ike!
I have always felt that Ike's reputation was shafted by that movie. He was a hard man that grew up in a hard time and he made his.....and Tina's....dreams come true despite the odds.
Women only want to hear one side of the story and make their judgements......even though Tina's story was egocentric and self-serving. If you ask me, she was the manipulitive user in that relationship.
She will show up to to prove she is a big enough person to forgive. Still using the man now that he's gone!!

Tina Turner is a classy lady no thanks to Ike.
She is a legend in her own time and made it on her own merits in spite of Ike.
Would not be surprised if she showed up at the funeral.

Good.. I am glad the guy is gone. Sorry.. but I had no respect for him after what he did to Tina.. regardless if he "founded her music" or not. She is a human being. I don't think she should show up at the funeral.. she owes him no respects.

RIP - Sad to lose one of the old school, who knew what the proper places of people in relationships were, and toiled every day to make sure that each person stayed in their place. We'll miss you brother.......If there's such a thing as a rock n' roll heaven, it got a new guitarist today.
