I think all people are dumb, at one point or another, it's just Hollywood glamorized quite a few Blonde Bombshells, who made a point of appearing to be about their looks, and not their brains, like Mae West, Marilyn Monroe, etc. Today, the tradition continues with Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, and others.

I feel the same sometimes! LOL But I love being blonde. I like my hair, and while I sometimes act a bit "blonde" I am not a stupid woman. I just have a knack for doing goofy stuff sometimes. I've seen lots of dippy people with all hair colours though, so I just chalk it up to human nature.

Everyone has Blondie moments or "senior" moments and if someone says they don't they are lying. Are some people with certain hair colors more prone to being bubbly and saying dumb things, not really it's just a stereotype and nothing more. I happen to know a girl who is very materialistic and not overly bright girl who is Filipino, Japanese but I love her for the silliness that she brings to the world. Everyone needs a good laugh.

There is no credible science indicating
that hair color has any effect on
intelligence or that intelligence
effects color. None.

However, there is a perception that
pretty people don't have to be smart,
and there is a perception that blondes
are more attractive than non-blondes.

Clearly the latter is purely
subjective, but it actually may have
an anthropological origin:

It is easier to see if your
potential mate is infected with
vermin if their hair is lighter.
That is, dark hair is easy for bugs
to hide in.

I kid you not.

Since healthy=sexy, the fact that
someone is obviously healthy (or at
least not infected) might be a mating
advantage to primative man.

And yes, healthy=sexy. The following
criterion are on the top of most
people's perception of sexy regardless
of culture:

1: Healthy teeth
2: Shiny Hair
3: Clear complexion
4: Correct hip/waste ratio

The ratios for number 4 are
different for men than women, but
the gut instinct very much depends
on these factors. You can talk about
personality, intelligence, humor, etc,
but these factors are common across
all of humanity.

Therefore, something that indicates
that somebody is likely to be healthy,
probably at some core spinal level,
is likely to be sexier than something
that doesn't indicate that.


I have also heard theories that,
since most naturally blonde's hair
darkens as they grow older,
artificially lightened hair gives the
wearer a more youthful (and all that
implies) appearance.

I died my hair blonde when I was young it wasnt the smartest thing to do but I guess I made the decision to do it when I had back hair. I made the smart decision to die it back when I was a blonde.
If you are blonde and dumb, its not because youre blonde its cause youre dumb, embrace it.

No! Im a nurse and I work with plenty intelligent Doctors that have blonde hair,it doesnt matter if you got blonde hair or ginger,its not the colour of your hair that determines if your goin to be dumb or not...

no it's not true but because that statement is said all the time, then i guess blonde's try to fall into that category. blonde's start saying and doing stupid things for no reason. But they are not dumb.

no they just always seem to be the butt end of the jokes...look at Martha Stewart commercial for the holidays when Jessica walks into the light cord, and Martha says in a low voice Jessica, and then Jessica says my bad...it has nothing to do with the hair color, anyone can be a blonde does not make them stupid...
