Washing your hair too much, or trying too many products will not help your problem at all. Instead try to wash your hair less often, as the scalp will eventually clean itself. My friend had a similar problem, and she was medicated shampoo from her GP which seemed to help.

A herbal rinse is a safe method of removing dandruff. Apply lemon juice with the rind on the scalp .After 5 minutes wash off with shampoo and water. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/

Some forms of dandruff are caused by a fungus (called Pityrosporum). Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo may help. Otherwise, you should think about seeing a dermatologist who can check to see if you have a fungal infection or some kind of scalp eczema or dermatitis, etc.

I found a shampoo at the salon. It's TeaTree by Paul Mitchell, you can feel your scalp burn when you put it on, but it feels awesome and it worked really well for both my husband and I.
