No...only DIV that you have to be (well they would like you to be) Airborne is the 82nd...101st is now an Air Assault DIV...they do not jump anymore...the 82nd falls under the 18th Airborne Corp...the 75th Ranger Reg is the only all Ranger (well they want them to be) Unit in the Army that is not a training unit...if you want to go to one of these DIV, if you want to go to the 82nd sign up as a 11B and get Jump School in your contract...if you want the 101st just ask for Ft Campbell as a 11B...good luck

In order to be a paratrooper of the 82nd and the 101st Airborne Division, you WILL go through US ARMY TRAINING by going through 9 weeks of Basic Combat Training and then, if qualified, you will then go through Airborne Training either at Fort Benning, Georgia or Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

It doesnt count, the unit you're in is what you're making of it, concentration on making it by way of RIP, if it doesnt artwork, flow to a unit learn what you are able to and attempt lower back later, one hundred and first is a brilliant unit, and clarksville around citadel campbell aint a foul section neither, 82nd is a brilliant unit besides however the section outdoors citadel Bragg is quite S#itty, and final 173rd is in Italy... what's to unlike approximately that????????? in spite of the place you flow you're certain to get some good preparation and much extra powerful studies, in simple terms undergo in concepts once you get in save your mouth close hear on your NCO's and stay in shap and you will do high quality

When you enlist you get airbourne in your contract so you can go to airbourne school right after Basic/AIT. Also I think you have to be an 11B or 11C infantryman in order to get into an airbourne divisions like 82nd Airbourne. As for 101st, same thing but instead of Airbourne you school Im not sure, try & find a way to Air Assualt course or maybe you have to be airbourne anyways to get in. Oh & ranger training is not required nor will you do any in 101st or 82nd. Ifv you want ranger, than you just get a ranger contract when you enlist, which means when you get in you go basic/AIT/Airbourne School/RIP. Of course your not garanteed to get in your just garanteed to try out. If I was you just make sure you get airbourne in your contract, & if your wanting to be a paratropper of sorts then definitly 11B MOS & Airbourne school will be what you want. & I hear they may ask for volenteers after airbourne school for Rangers, & you get to try out & if you fail it doesnt hurt your preffered first duty station. Were as if you get a ranger contract & fail in ranger school you could be stationed anywere in the world, were ever they need you.

Screw the person who gave me the thumbs down! You know who you are.

You have to go to Airborne Ranger school and graduate. Most likely afterwards about I guess 3-12 months if not later on, you will make a jump into a Iraq or where ever you get deployed. If you don't die you get a set of wings.Going airborne is a chance to get extra money too.
