I recently had a flu and i threw up for the first time in several years since I usually only get head-colds instead. But even since I was sick, I'm slowly recovering, and I'm really* hungry but everything I try to make i eat two bites and I'm not interested. If I could force it i will, but the thought of eating is nauseating, but I need food! please help!

This is common when we feel sick. I never feel like eating either, but you need to force yourself because your body needs the nutrients to fight of the virus. Try eating broths and toast, this should feel alright in your stomach. Hope you feel better soon!!

When I get as sick as you are (which happens about once a year for me) I eat saltine crackers or some beef or chicken broth, and I drink warm Ginger Ale. Ginger Ale is good for settling upset stomachs and flu symptoms, and the crackers should take the edge off until you can stomach some food. When you do feel like you can hold a decent amount of food down, eat slowly, and possibly eat something that won't upset your stomach again, such as chicken or beef broth. Then, after about a day of eating broth, then you should be up to eating your regular diet.

Stick with fruits.I had that virus recently,it's nasty,I couldn't stomach anything either.
Fruits contain a lot of natural sugars which will give you your energy back, and the vitamins will boost your immune system and help you pick up.
Fruits are very easy on the stomach and a great way to get back onto food.
Also try yoghurt and cereal grains.
Basically avoid any heavy foods, stick with light ones. It's the fat and high carbs that a dodgy stomach doesn't like.
And keep drinking water,it's especially important when you've been ill, helps to both hydrate and flush the body.

Drinking your calories is the way to go...but how on earth do you do that (beside drinking high-sugar drinks that make you feel even worse)?

Buy a juicer and start grinding up vegetables, fruits...into juices. Also get/use a blender and make smoothies out of veggie and fruits. This will be much easier on your stomach than something "half-natural" like slim-fast or yogurt.

Also add some protein and fiber supplements to make the juice more filling, and maybe some soup broth on the side to make up for the fat content of solid foods. Gatorade is also great for bad stomachs and colds, and much less acidic than, say, orange juice.

Cold fliuds should help, and though u need calcium, try to avoid milk. Its hard to digest. Let ur stomach get back to its normal, give it some time.
In the meanwhile try to have plenty of juices.
Good ol toast was the only thing that dint nauseate me at my sick times. Try oatmeal cookies. Healthy and small.
And dont worry, chow chow times coming soon fer ya. Take it easy till then

Flu's a bit like that.

Try to drink Complan or Slimfast - something you can stomach with sugar for energy and vitamins amd minerals added. This wil tide you over until you can start to eat real food again. Then keep it light for a few days -scrambled egg on toast. boiled eggs and soldiers - soup and work back up to full meals.
Hope your back to normal soon.

Crackers, light white foods should work well. Stay away from sweet drinks, those will make the nausea worse. After that, your stomach should start warming back up to the thoughts of food.

I know just how you feel! That happened to me on Sunday. Try eating a piece of dry bread. DON'T EAT ANYTHING that is spicy, or has a strong taste.

if you can't eat your calories then try to drink them. that's pretty much all you can do until you feel up to eating solid foods again.
