come on she might be just be wanting to spend it somewhere out with her friends...
and maybe the amount of pocket money u might be giving to her might not be enough for her...or she might be shy to ask for more ...and also it could be that she might ve forgotten to give u the rest of the money(if u say she got more)....so just ask her instead of asking out here.... if this thing is bothering u out sooo much... u r mother after all ...as simple as that ..
nothing to worry about ....coz if u start worrying about such small matters then there's allot of thing in the future u will ve to worry about....

First of all, you are checking on your doughter, that is a No No, respect her privacy. She could have don it for many reason. The $ 80 she did not report, she might use it to buy more old book and reselling, another reason, could be that she wanted to buy something that you won´t get it for her, She could also save it to have a nest egg or something. Don´t spoil her initiative, don´t confront her, give her space, she could just not report to you the sale and keep all $140.00, If you wan´t her respect, let her do her own. It is better if you ask her what will she do with the $60.00 she has, don´t loose her trust on you, next time she might just not tell you nothing. ( Do you also read her diary?) I never came into my doughter´s room without knocking first, and when she was away, her room was out of bounds for me, boy, you are something else, there is an exemption, If you know she would use that extra money for something illegal like drugs, if you are sure that is the problem, talk to her, but I do have a question for you How did you find out? You spaying on her? You don´t trust her?

She probably wanted to blow some money. She figured you'd ask her what she spent the money on. I wouldn't ask her about it though. That'll pull her away from you if she is up to something. Hopefully it's not drugs. If she is broke fairly soon and has nothing to show for it, you should start watching closely. It could be nothing. She could be buying a Christmas present with it. Be on the safe side and keep an eye on her. Email me if you need any tips on spotting drug use or anything like that. It's part of my profession. Good Luck..

How do you know? Sometimes colleges won't buy back books if they have too many turned in.
Example: I have a science book that I want to turn in and they are buying it for 80 bucks. I take it to the bookstore and they tell me they have too many of them and they're not buying anymore back. Thus, I try again next semester.
I guess if you could elaborate...how do you know your daughter got 140?

How is she doing at college? If her grades are undesirable and if her instructors see that she has habit issues at college, they could deliver her to a place like o.ok.Grove in Murrieta. lookup residental scientific care centers on your section. She would possibly not prefer a point 12. i'm not sure. If she is hurting others or herself phyically, she could prefer a point 14. scientific care can help, yet while she is unquestionably doing all of those issues which you stated, she ought to be faraway from domicile for a whilst and get help exterior of the domicile. looking on the place you reside, there may be greater help avaliable to you. i be responsive to in Utah, there's a actual stick point 14 and that i does not propose every physique sending there babies there, yet that is basically me.

So that you give her more money or not get mad at her for spending half of it.
Put yourself in her shoes. Money is everything when you are dependent on someone else to pay for the clothes on your back.
The first lie when human evolution reached that kind of consciousness was for survival reasons. Thus, humans lie.
As long as she doesn't make it a habit and you talk to her about it without condemning her, help her come up with a way to make money part time.

There could be any number of explanations for this. She may be spending the extra money on your Christmas present, she may have gotten into financial trouble,or any number of reasons. You know your daughter best, what do you think would be the reason? Is she the type that spends more than she should on others?Or does she spend her money on things she shouldn't?Or is she a saver and has it put back for some reason?

Because she wants you to think she has less money than she actually does. Perhaps she thinks you will take pity upon her and hand over a wee bit more cash.
Or, maybe she already spent that cash on something else that she doesnt' want you to know about - like her holiday gift to you...or drugs.
Who knows?
The only way you MAY find out is by confronting her on it.

How do you know for sure? Even if you check the buy-back price online, it does not mean that you actually get that in the store. I know for a fact that it can be different. It also depends on how many books that have already and they will lower the price accordingly. If in fact you do know "for a fact," then she just pocketed the money :-)

Remember it's Christmas time. Maybe she is planning to buy gifts with the extra money. Give her the benefit of the doubt right now.
