Is The Body Shop's tea tree oil soap good for back acne and oily skin on your body? 'Cause I have both. My back has acne and is oily and my neck and chest are always oily too.

Another question:
- Does rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar really make it less oily? I have really oily hair and scalp. Recommendations please! And btw, I only condition on the very ends and I use head and shoulders 'cause it works great for my dandruff, I want to keep using it. DO NOT tell me to stop using head and shoulders 'cause I will still use it.

Thanks! =)

Tea tree oil is good for killing bacteria so as long as the soap has 100% tea tree oil, then yes, it is good & will help with your acne.

Not sure about reducing oil in your hair, but apple cider vinegar does clean build up on your hair. If you have light colored hair, you can use corn starch to help reduce the oil. As for the Head & Shoulders, I know you like it, but I will tell you that if you didn't have real dandruff before you started using it, you do now. Good luck!

I use "Thoroughly Clean" for acne, which also contains Tea Tree Oil, but yes, you can use it on your body too.
Try using a clarifying shampoo, or maybe Head and Shoulders makes a shampoo for very oily hair.
Honestly, depending on the cause of your dandruff (oily scalp or fungus), you could treat your scalp with the tea tree oil soap, too. Tea Tree Oil helps kill fungus. Also, make sure that you wash your hair once a day, your face twice. Make sure you massage your scalp with your fingertips when washing, but don't go on forever, because you will over-stimulate the oil glands.
Try to keep your hands out of your face and hair duing the day, too. good luck!

See this excellent article about Tea Tree Oil link below.

For your scalp, talk to pharmacist or cosmetic consultant at the store for some really good advice on which product to use. We were able to find a substitute for Head and Shoulders for my daughter, who had a similar problem just by asking.

Each person has different needs.

You should try using a different shampoo every three days or
so then go back to the head and shoulders for three days.
