Yes, we had a cat that was gone all summer. He is a neutered male so we knew he wasn't out "tomming". Still can't figure out where exactly he was for 3 months but when the crops were harvested he came home. We live in the country and I think he was just out in the fields hunting and living the good life. He was just as fat as ever when he returned. Either that or someone else had him, which is unlikely since we don't have any close neighbors and the neighbors we do have know he is ours and wouldn't take him.

There was an article in my town's paper the other day about a cat that came home after seven YEARS. Nobody knows where the cat had been all that time and were completely shocked the cat reappeared after all that time. So it is entirely possible your cat will come home. However, one of my mom's cats have been missing for the last few weeks and we don't think she's coming back. So its hard to say. Hope for the best and keep looking, and hopefully your cat will come home. Good luck!!!

It's been known to happen, but don't count on it. He could have been picked up by someone wanting to keep him indoors or an animal shelter. Could have found a house that leaves awesome food for strays or unfortunately he may not still be alive. There are a lot of dangers facing a cat outside, cars, hawks, dogs, bigger cats, abusive humans, weather.
I do hope your cat returns home and you're able to keep him indoors, but 10 days is a long time for him to just be "gone"...sorry.

I had a cat 'run away' and come back a week later. My mom's cats are pretty much all strays that wandered in, so some of them wander out again (one recently, it was sad).
One disappeared and my mom saw a flier for a found cat. She had gone to a house about a block away. We picked her up Christmas Eve last year, but she got out again and went back to the same house! My mom told the lady to keep her, as she obviously liked her house better.
If you've put up fliers and still no word, I'm really sorry.
I hope your kitty finds his way home.

Our cat once disappeared and came back home after nearly two weeks. She must have kept herself alive eating mice, frogs and stuff like that. She'd lost some weight but was otherwise in good condition. After that she was gone occasionally for a few days.
They usually come back at a moment you don't expect.

My cat ran away for about a year ago and to my surprise she came back home! I don't no where she was or where she went, we live out in the country. She was so skinny and panting like she had been traveling for days. I'm the happiest person, always had faith and knew one day she would return!!!

yeah my cat came back after two weeks, and my neighbours had a cat that they lost, they moved here which is an hour from where they were, and the cat showed up 9 years later.

I once had a cat who disappeared for about 6 months. One day, out of the blue, he came to the door. I let him in, he went to the food bowl, ate, went upstairs and went to sleep...just like he had never been gone! Cats have a keen sense about they and usually find their way back home! Don;t lose hope!

One of my cats disappeared for a week, then came back. My other cat disappeared for months, then came back, but he now he only visits us and doesn't stay with us. We see him every week or so.
Cats are very loyal animals, and if they don't return to you they can't. I hope your cat comes back soon.
