This isn't the exact one I'm talking about. In the other one, a mother has her son in the car with her and she's trying to run him down to kill him. I was kind of shocked that they would do an ad like that. Even my husband who tends to have a crude sense of humor was appalled by it. What are your thoughts on their new series of "Hit Mom's" ads?

An example of how society accepts as normal what was once perceived as horrible.

It is a crude and horrible commercial that should be taken off the air.

What does it teach? If someone does something better than you, its okay to hurt or kill them.

DUMB commercial with NO MORALS!

Oh happy day! I am so glad that someone else sees how disgusting this is. Burger King is the last place I would go anyhow. But any parent that doesn't see how wrong this is needs to review their standards. Over reacting? I don't see how.

No but I saw the little skit they did called "whopperfreakout",,was pretty funny. You can see the whole thing at www.whopperfreakout.com

But the little advertisement you are referring to is a sadistic way for them to sell their products that people would go to such lengths to get a Burger King whopper. I don't believe their intentions were to appall anybody ,just sell their product, like violence and sex you see in advertisements...they just want to sell their product and thats all a part of propoganda. I'm not truly offended by any of the burger king ads, but there are some other ads that can be seen as much worse.

Ever since they started using that creepy King guy with the mask and costume, I've been a little freaked out by that place. I wonder if the ad agency thinks it's cool, or are they really trying to go for the "freak out" factor?

I mean...the guy's just creepy. Now moms are trying to run him down? What's next, mobs tearing apart a burger king while the king hides inside? It's just surreal.

We talked about this in history class the other day. Those ads seem so.. out there. My mom was kind of offended by them, too. It's sending the wrong message and it's for burger king which has nothing to do with going around and trying to kill him.

It's meant to be humorous, not offensive. I can see where it would be offensive and/or crude, but at the same time, the Burger King is a fictional character.

I've never seen a good BK ad. For a huge concern, I don't know why they can't get a good agency and a good campaign.

Don't care for Capitol One, but that's an example of a good ad agency's work--they get a them (like barbarians) and run with it--it's funny.

Geico has probably the best ads (not so fond of the celebs, the gecko is better), to get you to watch them.

BK's are always lame and these are twisted. Doesn't do anything for info about their food or make me want to go there.

I have to agree, I'm not a prude or anything, I can realize when something is just a joke, I don't take things too seriously, but when I saw the commercials I did think that they were taking it a tad too far...and the worst part is that they aren't even THAT funny. If they were super funny I could see, but they aren't. So I don't like them.

Its pretty disturbing but sorta funny in a sadistic way. I mean yeah i'm all about such things as Family guy and Jackass...but thats a bit much especially a commercial where people don't choose like tv programming you know whats on...commercials are really just random.
