this is just a question for an essay im writing. Why did Italian troops leave Iraq and why are Polish Troops leaving Iraq

Italian troops left Iraq simply because they fullfilled their assignment: training up local police, letting local authorities keeping control of the Nassirya area.
Italian internal political disagreements about foreign policies actually results in leaving Iraq just 2 weeks prior than planned long before.
Italian troops are still in Afghanistan, though, and Italian soldier engaged in peace-keeping missions worldwide are second to the US only, by number.

the us basically has contracts with other countries that have troops serving in iraq. such as ugandia, great britian, italy, poland, and various other countries. the special services that italy and poland offered were no longer deemed nescessary by the DOD and the contracts were not renewed or are winding down on the last part of the contract.

Troops are no longer needed in Iraq because of the improving political stability.

too much political disputes. another is that they were never in the war seriously, they only join because they want to help their allies, the U.S.
