Does anyone want the details on what I think about religion? I can almost guarantee it's not like anything you've heard before. I have beliefs... I'm not exactly a theist... but I'm not an atheist either. If you would like to know how I view religion, I'll post it later in details... but if not... oh well... I'll leave it alone.

Okay... I've gotten some good responses... so here goes.
I believe that there is something driving the universe... but I don't think that something is aware of us... I also don't think that we really realize how unaware that being is. I think that prayer is nothing more than perhaps an exercise in mind over matter... or... as some pagans would put it... Magick. I think that all religions are right... but also wrong. I think that Jesus Christ was a real person... but not the son of any god... I also think that his original message has been horribly corrupted. I think that if more people could admit... like I do... that they could be wrong... the world would be a better place. I think that all the gods/goddesses of all the religions are merely facets of the aforementioned unaware being controlling the universe. I think that each person has a personal facet of this being... and this is why each person has his/her own path to walk. I'm running out of space, so I'll continue later

I believe that the reason that all religions are right but also wrong is because each religion has a grain of the truth... but this grain lies in a vast sea of lies. Kinda like finding a grain of salt in a sea of sugar. I think that this is because the best way to sell a lie is to include some truth in it. I do believe in evolution... look at the gypsy moths... I don't think that the supreme being really pays attention to evolution, like everything else. I think that we are long overdue for an evolution. I think that as long as you're open minded, you can find the truth in any religion. This includes religions such as Satanism. If a religion didn't have any truth in it, then people wouldn't follow it for long. I think that religion's purpose is to bring morality to mankind... however, I don't think that it's necessary anymore... proper parenting should do that just fine. There's a lot more... but that's an excellent foundation.

Mabel VT,
To answer your questions, I don't believe that the supreme being in the universe is humanoid either. I don't think it's more than, say, an energy.
When it comes to the afterlife, I am not really sure. But I think that the "soul" is recycled... meaning, loosely, reincarnation. But I don't think your whole soul is used. I think that several people get a portion of your soul... along with portions of the souls of others. So, I think that you're kinda reborn, but not the way that most religions think of reincarnation.

After all... the rest of your being... i.e. your body... is recycled... why not your soul?

Underestimated But Never Tainted,
I hear from you alot... hmm.
Anyhow... sorry for being so lengthy about it... I have trouble narrowing it down to one paragraph... ask my GSP professor... he'd ask for one page assignments and get no less than four.
