Davis I asked this same question about a week ago but I got a lot of nonsense answers from people that do not know their Bibles. Yes there will be many false prophets but I am sure you are referring to the False Prophet in Revelation. I believe that Apostasy Christianity is the false prophet, in other words the Protestant churches that teach false doctrine.

A prophet is able to get messages from the spirit domain and relay them to others in this domain. A falsh prophet gets messages instead from considering information they know about this world, maybe using their imagination, or making an educated guess, but then attributes the message to the spirits.

A false prophet who has observed the messages from prophets can emulate their characteristics so that one cannot tell the difference.

If you are familiar with the Bible, consider Paul's 1st letter to the Thessalonians, near the end. If a church despises all prophecy in order to protect themselves from false prophecy, then they will lose spirit. But if they accept everything, they will accept the deceptions of false prophets. Paul suggests they test the messages.

A false prophecy can come true by sheer dumb luck, so it is good to test more than one before putting a lot of trust in prophets.

The Old Testament was very harsh on prophets. Either their messages come true, or they get stoned to death.

Many Christian Churches descended into times of panic and killed a lot of prophets as witches. The methods of ecstatic vision were lost. There might be secrets in the Vatican, but I don't know. What I do know is that modern anthropologists have rediscovered methods from indigenous people around the globe. This is generally categorized by shamanism.

In history of all religions false Prophets didn't last too long
and number of their followers always remain low.

Christians hate Muslims because 300 to 500 Christians are converting as Muslims daily in USA but Christian priests can not convert Muslims as Christians even one tenth of that number. They also know that their Bible is mere translation without true words of God in original languge to verify the authenticity of translations. So they keep making changes in Bible in every new revision. And this adds to more problems in preaching Christianity to intelligent non-Christians. Whereas their most intelligent Christians realize that Bible has too many flaws and they not only convert as Muslims but also become very effective preachers of Islam thereby convverting more Christians right in their own countries. Preachers can't do any thing about it, so they hate Muslims and mock their Prophet and label 1.4 Muslims with whatever names they can think of thus lowering themselves down to dirt, committing sins and calling wrath of God upon themselves in the form of natural disasters.

I say May God return their brains back to them, and guide them to the right path so more of them can realize that their salvation lies in Islam and not in elevating Jesus Christ to the level of God.
