I think I'd rather go somewhere. See the sites, lounge around on a beach. Stay the night in a hut.

we went on a cruise, which was awesome and we had a wonderful time! but, some things to consider:

1. compare costs. the cost of a cruise includes your room and meals, but does NOT include shore excursions or alcohol. that can double the cost of the cruise. I don't know how "all inclusive" the resorts really are, so I don't know how much more you'll be spending.

2. most 7-day cruises depart on a Sunday. if you get married on a Saturday night, you can either wake up early the next day to start your honeymoon or (what we did) wait a week and leave then.

3. the cool things about a cruise vs. a resort is with the resort you only see one place. with a cruise you can see 3-4 islands/countries in one week.

4. you'll always be able to see the sun rise and set over the water from a cruise ship. at a resort you'll only get one or the other.

5. you do get to see a lot of different places when you are on a cruise, but only for the amount of time you are in port (usually 8 hours). staying at a resort might give you more time to explore wherever you are.

6. cruise ships are gorgeous! being in the middle of the sea/ocean, secluded from the rest of the world, is pretty awesome.

7. cruises are pretty action-packed. if you just want to relax, they might not be the best option.

Do I still qualify to answer? I already had my honeymoon.
I would cruise..You can't get treated much better than you do on a cruise and they do do a dinner for newlyweds. They even had a newlywed game. It was so much fun..I have no idea where to go... I was always a terrible vacation planner. So a crusie is perfect for me. He has the casino. I have the pool... He has nicer dinners than I could ever provide. And I have salads galore.
He shaves in my room and I shower again. Ah do I smell nice. I wonder if he will notice...What are you doing in there all alone He asks. Something smells delicious and I don't mean the steak... Ahhh were on our way Honeymoon here and there and everywhere... Beauty, lights, music, booze, suchi bars.commedian, karaoki, games ,gambeling, Art. Photos. Really nice professional photos.... I say yes. Oh sorry I was talking to my husband...... have fun .................

Ugh, I am trying very hard to get my man to go to Italy. He wants a cruise. Neither of us have ever been on a cruise, but I think that we should go some where that it will be difficult to go once we get married and have kids. So i say go some where and lay on a beach, go sigh seeing, do the sideways tango the whole time in bed.

Definately not a cruise. You can take a cruise whenever, but an all-inclusive honeymoon in a tropical place is once in a life-time!! Plus a cruise isn't as private.

Definately go somewhere tropical - not on a cruise. It's much more personal and romantic.

I personally would like to go somewhere romantic, like Bermuda etc., & just be with my partner.
When you're on a cruise, it's not an intimate experience, & you're usually jumping from one port to another.
Hope this helps.

I'll take the cruise. Its all inclusive so less planning. After planning a wedding I think the simpler the better.
