Joseph86, yes. How can a physical body become invisible... what happened to it? If jeebus became spirit surely his un-needed carcass would have plummeted back to earth

Yeah, this is a good follow up question to one I asked before which was, "was Jesus nude when he appeared to Mary Magdalene after His resurrection?" I got answers about magic clothes, sure he was, he had his burial clothes. Loved the magic clothes answer.

The answer to this question is obviously largely dependant on personal interpretation of the New Testament. In terms of the official belief held by the Catholic Church it is their belief that the physical body of Jesus, after his Resurrection from the dead was taken up into heaven and exists there in very much the state it existed on earth. This Ascension into heaven illustrates the importance of Jesus to the bible stories and this was a gift allowed to only a few select individuals in bible history. I can't remember all of those off the top of my head but the Holy Mother and Azrael, an old testament prophet were both granted this special boon as well.

It is not merely alleged that he came back from the dead.
There were hundreds of witnesses on several occasions.

His resurrected body was different to his earthly body - he could appear and disappear through a locked door, yet his body was physical and could eat.

It's hard for us to understand what a resurrected body is like!
Maybe similar to angels who have appeared in physical form at times yet are spiritual beings.

Right now Jesus is in heaven awaiting the time when he will return in glory to earth - in judgement. Quite unlike his first visit to earth.

i think that he went as much as an area craft that took him lower back to his residing house planet.there are a number of cases in the bible the place there are vibrant lights furniture in the sky preceeding heavenly apparitions.i think of thats the only logical explanation, and historic ruins instruct area craft in photos drawn on partitions and so on many centuries in the past.you are able to google those , some are Egyptian, and nicely worth staring at.

Jesus rose physically and spiritually, therefore there would be no body left over that did not ascend into heaven.

He ascended into heaven AFTER he came back from the dead. His body is in heaven.
