It isn't the ACT... It is the deception and guilt associated with the act that makes it cheating! If you flirt to be cute and your partner knows that you are just being cute then it is ok... If you HIDE WHAT YOUR DOING from your partner THEN it becomes Cheating. It is the difference between Cheating and being in a Poly Relationship. Being Poly means that you have discussed dating other people and BOTH OF YOU ARE OK WITH THAT. While doing the SAME EXACT THING behind your partner's back is just wrong and hurtful. If you feel the need to flirt or cyber behind your partner's back then it means that you need to get out of the relationship be for you do even MORE damage by having him/her find out what you are doing!! He HONEST and it may still hurt but at least you won't be a MAJOR prick... Just an @$$hole X.

I do believe that flirting is cheating because it insinuates some type of want or desire. The only man I feel the need to flirt with is my fiance and before we got together I flirted with him because I wanted him. So, in my book, flirting is cheating. But, others don't mind it so much. I guess it really depends on the person.

Flirting is not cheating but you are flirting with the expectation that the other person will be interested - and then it progresses to cheating.

Flirting is not cheating.Cheating is when the act of sex take place.Kissing and touching I think is not cheating either. For some people perhaps, for me, just a simple play.Danger, play indeed.

I flirted and i thought nothing was wrong with it, well i didnt know i was. But my x thought i was cheating on her. It is not cheating to flirt, cuz everyone else has a different deff for flirting. But as soon as you cross that thin line of lusting, sex, kissing, making a date it is cheating. Just be careful not to cross that line

Flirting is not cheating unless it involves physical contact, but even the slightest romantic touch is.

FLirting is not cheating.... Cheating is when you physically touch another intimately and that other person is not your spouse.

I don't think so.......
Just today a girl named Sarah came up to me and asked me if I was going out with a guy named Cody but I have a boyfriend. She said that I flirted a lot with him. I don't think it is flirting but it isn't good....

i don't think flirting is cheating.
we all do it every once in a while.
and some, it's just their nature to flirt (like me lol)
but i think cheating is:
kissing someone
sleeping with them
