Right now it is but in a year or 2 when you turn 15 or 16 it will be nothing. It is just that 14 is still considered child, but here 16 is the beginning of woman hood, and in Mexico 15 is. You know, Sweet 16 and at 15 Mexicans have that special party. It would almost be like he's dating a child while he's already reached man hood. But 16 And 18 are illegal, So maybe you should just wait.

if you are under 18..yes, it's against the law for a reason. I was 16 and dated a 24 year old, at the time I said "age is only a number" but as you get older you see how sick it really is for someone that old to date someone so young. and truthfully there is something wrong with the man who dates a woman that young.

If you are of legal age then no, in fact to have a man two years older might be better off he has had two years to "sew his wild oats" so he may be more serious than most men your age.

hope it works.

It depends on how old you are. If both of you are under eighteen it could be okay, but still tricky because of being different stages developmentally. The difference between, say, fifteen and seventeen isn't that big of a deal, but the difference between 12 and 14 might as well be worlds away.

If only one of you is a minor and the other is legal, it's not okay because if you get caught your boyfriend could go to jail. But If both of you are over 18, go for it! The world needs more love.

I tend to think it's more a matter of maturity than actual age. If you're in high school, and he's in college...it's probably not the best idea. Even within high school 2 years is a little much. I think back to the difference between my sophomore year and my senior year and I did a lot of growing up in that time.

If you're a little older than that it may work out. My boyfriend is 3 1/2 years older than me...but we're both out of college and in the working world. Best of luck!!

It depends on your age. My husband is 4 1/2 years older than me so of course I would say no. We are both in our 30s.
If you are 16 and he is 18 then I would say maybe.

That totally depends on how old you are. If you're in high school, then 2 years is definately too much, but if you're both college age or older than I think 2 years isn't too bad.

It also helps if both of your maturity level is about the same. Since guys tend to mature later, I think that 2 years is just about right.

Are you 11 and 13 or 20 and 22, there's a difference.

It depends on how old you are now...

Say if you're 10 and he is 12? Then yes, it's a big difference. If you are 23 and he is 25, then that's not a big deal... One has to take into account the maturity level which comes along with the age difference in order to answer this question accurately.

It depends on how old you are, but for the most part two years is not a big age difference. In high school it could be problematic (if he is 18 and you are 16) but once you get into your twenties and beyond, it is no big thing. Age is just a number!

Honestly, no. Two years is nothing. I'm seeing a guy who is 10 years older than me, and it's not a big deal at all. As long as you don't feel uncomfortable with the age difference, it shouldn't be a problem.
