Im moving to a country that does not use the latin alphabet, they speak arabic
so how would i translate my name in arabic, my new id will be in all arabic and my last name is english hyphenated german

First, forget the online translators. Their record is not good.
Now, the question is: Do you want to TRANSLATE or TRANSLITERATE?
Translate means to take your name and change it to the Arabic word/words that fit it. I don't have Arabic fonts, so using European languages, this would be, assuming your name is Mr. White, changing it to Weis in Germany, Blanco in Spain, and Bianco in Italy.
Transliterate, on the other hand, is to change the letters in your name to their phonetic equivalent in Arabic so that when a native speaker saw the written transliteration, he would be able to (at least roughly) pronounce your name as it now exists.

the free online translators are usually right, or at least the translations to french and german are. Or you can find a professor who teaches Arabic or maybe even a soldier.
