Well the fever broke today and now she is coughing uncontrollably and sounds constricted. I am tired of her being so sick. She has been in the ER and at the doctors office total of 7 times since October. I have a hunidifier in her room, I have done the Vicks, I am giving her fluids. Should I now be worried about this constriction. It kinda sounds like a tight chest. She didnt have this yesterday, but I called her doctor for a prescription cough medicine that he likes to give her for coughs (because she was coughing). What should I do for this child??

Did she get a Chest Xray? If not, maybe you can request your doctor to write a prescription for her to get one done. Also, if your pediatrician is still not finding anything wrong with your baby follow your motherly instincts and take her to another doctor. There may be something this doctor is missing and maybe someone else will figure it out. A toddler is kind of young to be diagnosed with asthma but it could be a possiblilty. But definitely get a Chest Xray first. I hope she gets better. Good luck!

I was about 14 years old but I kept getting diagnosed for coughing/bronchitis and they finally discovered I had asthma and the doctor gave me an inhaler and then I was fine. Ask the doctor about asthma. Good luck!

Could this be whooping cough?
When I was 3 years old I had this very very severely. My Dr. told my mother it was nothing to worry about when she took me to see him, but I later ended up in hospital.

Get a second opinion. And meanwhile, child's cough syrup.
