An interesting question.
The flip-side is interesting too.
What about people who are tortured into saying that they do not believe? Even if they still believe in their head do they get damned for what they say, or saved for what they think.
Also how much of a threat contitute coersion? Threat of death? Threat of pain? Threat of pain to others? Threat of possible death/pain? . . . . Threat of hell?

There is a proverb which states "He who is convinced against his will is of the same opinion still". This answers your question.
With Christianity, the grounds of being saved are
1) Believe with your heart. If you make a pretense of believing, you don't believe - you miss step one.
2) Confess with your mouth. You might get it here but as your "confession" is not really a confession you miss it here too.
3) Repent. Well you don't do this either as you don't see the need to. You make outward appearances that you have changed but, remember God looks on the heart.
So the answer to your question is NO!

Probably not.
At gunpoint, most people will simply say whatever it takes to point the gun somewhere else. However, if you truly believe, then you are saved no matter what your circumstances.

Considering most Christians were forced into their beliefs by family and the Church, I don't see why gunpoint would be any different.

No way, God knows what's in their heart, the empty forced words that come out of their mouths don't mean anything to Him. God gave us the choice to choose whether we want to believe in Him or not, he could have easily made a race of people who "love" Him blindly but he didn't want that, he wanted people to choose.

Queenb: why is it a ridiculous question? historically, most of the christian "converts" were aquired at gunpoint.

Although God is telepathic he needs us to speak our faith aloud for it to count...
