Sing like King David did! Maybe you'll have the opportunity to sing some of those beautiful poems you've been writing. God bless you!!!

Lovingly,
Virginia

Halloween isn't the Devils day. Originally it was called Samhain, the Celtic New Year. Sometimes called The Day of the Dead it was believed that this world and the next were very close on that day and people would celebrate their ancestors and leave food for wandering spirits at the roadside. It was a time of magic and this has filtered down into modern culture as ghosts, witches and the like. Being a Pagan festival it had nothing at all to do with the Devil, as that is a Christian thing. The name of Halloween is derived from All Hallows Eve which precedes All Saints day - a Christian festival. Christmas too is originally Pagan - called Yuletide. The Romans celebrated their own version at this time - Saturnalia. So neither festival is Christian at all. If you don't like Samhain then that's okay, it's your choice. I like it though. By the way, Easter was a Pagan festival too and May Day was Beltane, so you might want to avoid those as well.

Perhaps cooking a meal for the choir director would be good. Let them know you appreciate being able to join the choir and let them know excited you are to participate.
Celebrating with others is always better than celebrating alone!!!
Congrats and good luck!!!!

Here, I'll pour all of us a glass of sparkling grape juice (as I know some people don't drink) and we take turns making a toast! And I'll slice up some deserts!

My toast is: Here's to a beloved brethren, who touched the hearts of many, in Jesus's name. He's a true inspiror, good at getting people to think. Congratulations to this blessed brethren as he sings praises to the Lord, and shall his voice be heard way above in heaven. This is called for thanksgiving!

After all the toasting is done, I shall play a song off my guitar, one I made up myself!

Ways to celebrate:

Go out for dinner or icecream or both
Continue to sing hymns and praises to the Lord.
Be thankful to God that you are in the chior.
Do something nice for yourself.
Read Psalm 100:5 it will bless and encourage you and pray that my husband and I can use our singing voices to glorify Him. I am so happy for you:)e4g
