I am naming over 1000 cats next year and I am about 950 names short.

I am setting up a database for the info on the microchips.

This is for a shelter that nurtures, fixes, and serves as an adoption center, that microchips all adoptions.

Please give me some original names like;

"Pamuk" which is Turkish for cotton

There are too many "Garfields" and "Snowballs" don't you think?

I like to pick names that people don't think of for a cat. I have had cats named Booger, Barker, Stitch, Dog, And right now I have a silver tiger cat named Spot. So what ever you think of be really creative

My cat's name is Booger. It's not because he's disgusting. When he was a kitten, I named him Cinders because of his deep black coat of fur. But he got into everything (even more than normal), jumped on all of my family all the time, and just really ran amok. My mother would tease him, "you're such a booger. Aren't you a booger? You little booger. Booger, Booger, Booger..."

Well, the name stuck. His name is now Booger and has been these 13 years. And he is, and always has been, a Booger. He's spoiled, sassy, stubborn, selfish, and sometimes sweet. I adore him.

My other kitty's name is Anya Jean Akasha. I had three names in mind for my next pet, but the kitty showed up before I could make up my mind between the three. I gave her all of them. Anya is Russian, Jean is a private joke (I had a boss named Gene who hated cats), Akasha is from the Queen of the Damned (and I just loved that name).

I have a 'Jaspurr' and a 'Tiza Cat' (we just call her Tiza)

A cat who bites might be called 'Tyson'

'Detroit' (the motor kitty) for a cat that purrs loudly

'Scout' for the inquisitive type

'Tigris' which is French (if pronounced correctly) for "little gray" Or Bijou which is French for jewel and sounds very prissy

'Patches' suits a down to earth calico

some other names (without explanation) could be

Bandit
Dizzy
Junior
Kodiak
Ally
Ecko
Scrappy
Min-min
Jasmine
