Consult your VET!! You should at least wait until the puppies go to new homes...at 8+ weeks. Then you could schedule the appointment. Some vets want you to wait a month after the puppies leave so the milk veins can become smaller. It makes the surgery easier.
Call for cost also. Some charge more if the dog has had a litter.

Most vets want the puppies weaned for several weeks before they will spay the mother. Just be sure to get her spayed before her next heat cycle, you should have a couple of months after the puppies go to their new homes before she comes in again. Costs can be anywhere from $60 to $300 depending on the area you are in.

That's a good question. I would wait a month at least ( so she isn't in pain or has stitches while the pups are nursing etc)
I would call the vet, and find out when it would be appropriate to do it, and make an appointment for that date. It shouldn't cost to much, unless you get pain meds to take him ( i didn't) Of course mine didn't need any, he came home slept, and then was back to normal a few hours later.

my shih tzu was 70 dollars to get her spayed but every vet will be different.....this was without any discounts or certificates....im not sure how long you need to wait to have her spayed after having puppies you will need to ask your vet that.

Go online and get a certificate to get a spay discount as i did : just do a search for spay cert. or help with spay cost .
Or call your vet they may be able to help with the certificate i think it was under $75.00
