I'm 5'9 & overweight trying to get into shape.

How i came to 215 per min., was i felt my heart pounding after doing a set of curls it scared me so i jumped on the treadmill to see what my heart rate was, normally it is between 120-130. This time it was 215 after 2min. it dropped to 186 still a bit high i thought. any help would be appreciated thanks.

you run the risk of heart attack if it is that high and you are overweight

I'm glad to see you are working very hard, but you must be mistaken, I don't think overweight people can get their heartrate that high, very few can. There's an equation for your max heartrate... I'll go get it for you
