running with weights will only make you run stronger, it's actually very harmful to your legs.

If you don't do any lifts with your legs you should, they will improve your push against the ground and make you faster. I'm sure you can find these on the web better than I can tell you. You should try HIT training, something I've become a fan of lately. Go to a track, sprint hard (90%) for 30sec, you should almost do a 300 if your good. Then jog for 30sec. repeat this for 5minutes every other day. Every other time you do it (every 4 days) add another sprint and another jog to your workout (now your workout will be 6min.) keep doing this up to 15min.

Plyometrics are the best way to improve speed, like putting a box on the floor and jumping over it side to side as fast as you can with your feet and legs togeather without stopping is one of my favorites.

Suicides (ladders) are meant to improve takeoff speed and sprinting ability also a favorite of mine.

that's what I would recommend

something holding you back (like the parachute) or ankle weights would be ok with me, although I think for the effort there are better faster ways.

i dotn know if your highschool or middle school had these but ours did, its a vest you put on thats connected to a tire. you drad the tire around while you do your 40's or 100's or 60's if you play baseball. also there is the vest with a parachute on the back. you can also use ankle weights. i have found that the fastest people at my highschool also ran track. lots of sprints will get your muscles up and you will lose weight and become fast.

Run carrying weight or with weight in your pockets. They may even make weighted vest. Then, when you take them off, you feel liberated. Your stamina has increased & you run faster.
