Those who take their communion without recognising what it cost God are taking it unworthily.
It has nothing to do with being left-handed, unwashed, breaking the speed limit, or homosexual. God loves all those people.

Why are you singling out homosexuality here? Yes the Bible teaches it is a Sin, but this is not the point of 1 Cor. 11:27.
We should never use reading into the text to support a prejudice. Preach the Bible as it is. It is controversial enough without twists from us.

Nothing. No matter what anyone says, the bible does not say that a man who lays with another like a woman shall not take commuion.
You can't mix old testament with new if you truly believe Jesus came to fulfill the law. Nobody, if we use that standard, would ever be worthy. Nobody. Men with long hair, women with short hair, people that wear fabric of two different materials...we'd all be unworthy.

Like some of the others have already said, it states that, "Whoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord." It goes on into the next two verses and says, "But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eats, and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning (understanding) the Lord's body." Always when considering a verse, read the surrounding verses, so as to understand the whole concept. In seeing it all together, you see that it's not singling out anyone in particular. It says "whoever". Each person who takes communion is to examine his own heart, life, or whatever else is within him. If you read a bit more, in verses 31 & 32, it says, "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged, But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world." We are to judge ourselves, looking within our hearts, allowing God to show us where our sins are, and to deal with them then. When we allow Him to deal with our sins, we will not be under the same condemnation as the world is, in not dealing with sin. So, if you come to communion without dealing with your sin, you're spitting on Jesus' body & blood, not taking it seriously. This goes for everyone, not just homosexuals. This goes for the one who lies, cheats, steals, hates, disrespects their parents, and a host of other sins that many people don't even consider to be of any concern. It's the condition of our heart that God looks at, and what we are doing with His Son.
P.S. To Straw Dog 480...look up 1 Corinthians 10:16..."The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" It's a sacred sign of our spiritual fellowship with Christ. <*)))><

They are definitely unworthy. God says that homosexually is an abomination to Him. Most likely anyone who is saved is not homosexual and only the saved can take part of communion with punishment.

ok if your taking communion then u need to ask God for forgiveness and God will know if u truly mean it so if someone that is gay is asking god to change him and forgive him and truly mean it and tries to change with god's help then thats ok but if someone thats gay takes and asks for forgiveness and later on keeps doing what he's doin and doesnt bother to ask for gods help and try and change then its wrong. God says taking communion and not asking for forgiveness is the worst possible sin there is.

For all, if taken in an unworthy manner.
Sins must be repented of, and the list of sins encompass far more than just this one. I think people forget that.
