The five most important TV weeks of the year:

1. Masters Week
2. U.S.Open Week
3. The Players Championship Week
4. The British Open Week
5. The PGA Championship Week

Watching golf on TV is one of my favorite thing to do. I can understand the average person thinking that it's like watching grass grow, but as a serious golfer, I love getting to see the layout of all the courses, the different strategies that the players incorporate into their games on the different types of layouts, the course management techniques that the players use to navigate the courses, and the drama that unfoldes over the course of a four day golf tournament. The announcers are great too. I really enjoy listening to Johnny Miller, Gary McCord, and David Fehrity (probably spelled that wrong.) It is obviously better to watch when Tiger is playing, but there are many highly skilled players out there that dont get a big following because their name is not as recognizable as Tigers.

There is no better way to relax on a Sunday afternoon...and feel free to take a nap, the telecasts are usually 4-5 hours long!

Yes, I watch it on TV. I like to see how the pros's hit certain shots. some time you can pick up something from them when you get out there and play. I have learn a lot by watching the pro play. And the ladies too..there swing is much slower than the men. Also, I learn some of the rules about the game as well how to hit certain shots.

I have been to one Nation Wide tournament and to when Tiger brought golf at to Congressional. I was there!!!!! Looking forward to see the Ladies when they come to town.

I do! I've struggled with learning the game for more years than I'd care to admit. That being said, I pick up a lot of things from the pros. From tempo to alignment to the wide variety of emotions that come into play during a competitive round. I admire those folks that are good enough to make a living playing the game that I love so dearly. Golf is great in any form.

I love it. I have been watching every PGA golf tournament for the last five years. I also have the leaderboard posted on my computer every weekend during a tournament. Look forward to the first big event, the Mercedes Championship at the beginning of the new year.

I enjoy watching golf unless it is Tiger Woods. It irritates me more than anything than seeing every single shot of his even if he is 15 strokes behind the leader. They should give every professional the respect and airtime that they deserve. It is the PGA, not TWGA.

Absolutely enjoy it. If you study the players, especially the ladies and look at their form, club selection, swing speed etc. you can learn a lot about the game. You might even help out your own game if you really study the tour.

I've enjoyed watching Tiger Woods and I don't usually watch much sports on television. Whatever the Augusta four day match is, (The Masters? Excuse my ignorance please) is also interesting. CBS has good coverage and doesn't talk down to those of us who don't know for certain what birdies and bogies are. I really love the Olympics though and watch as much as humanly possible during the 16 days they are on.

No. In other sports you have a favorite team, so you watch their game, they are on the field all the time playing doing something. In golf you have a favorite player, one man. Once he hits, you have to watch other golfers you could care less about while you wait for your guy to walk to the ball and the cameras to get to him. It is best to watch the highlights on espn or wait until the last couple holes.
