ive always been the crying shoulder, they will cry cause they hate it....3 years later, they do it again...I just dont get it...

Any perm is a tricky thing for women....and hairdressers.
I can only judge by what has happened to me every time...except once.
I wanted my hair to have body, and a perm will do that...IF you set it every night. Those whose hair can wear the spirals are fantastic! But, even a quarter inch of new growth will make the whole hair go 'flat'. Then, it becomes a nightmare.
A perm can 'burn' hair and make it feel like straw...not too sexy.
Then the solutions that can take a perm out...good luck!
For me? The answer is an EXTREME Mousse, a brush, a comb, a level 6 hair spritz, and an 1875 watt hair dryer.

We always believe that we are going to go to the hairdresser and when he turns us to the mirror after he's done, we will have magically transformed into Heidi Klum. Unfortunately, more often than not, we look more like the Bride of Frankenstein. I've never subjected myself to a perm, but I've had a LOT of post-haircut crying jags. And yet, we still always believe that next time will be different. ******** optimism, I guess...

Well I gotta perm ONCE, and that was it for me. I told the 'dresser I wanted loose barrel curls(think wrapping your hair around the toilet paper roll--when empty) Just some nice loose waves...When she got done with me, I looked like I put my finger in the socket...and to make matters worse...you cant wash your hair for like three days afterwards...Do you know how bad that crap smells--like piss after you eat asparagus. Lets just say, that wasnt my fondest memory.
Women do it because as time passes, technology gets better...well you would think that the perms would too...yeah no such luck!!!

Well I just did one on someone and she looked like a poodle after. So I imagine a lot of girls think that right after they get one.

hahaha because before we sit in that chair we have this image in our head of what our hair will look like after the stylist is finished...and unfortunately its nothing at all like we imagined...three years pass and we say to ourselves okay this time I will tell them EXACTLY what I want and I will love it...its just a vicious cycle!!

lol..because we think that its gonna look good on us then when we get it its like wtf did i just do cause we end up looking like some singer of an 80's rock band!! so 3 years later we think that maybe this time it will be diff. that maybe we will actually look cute this time...and we are so wrong!!
