is it wrong or possible to date a 3rd/4th year college guy if you are in first year?

That's completely fine. Regardless of year it shouldn't matter, as long as you like the guy. However if you are using that person to do your course work than it's wrong. But otherwise it is fine.

Well, it is certainly possible. Most of the guys I dated as a freshman in college were either seniors or grad students. As to whether it was a good idea, I would say no. Most of the older students who try to date freshmen are only interested in their bodies. They don't have much respect for their minds. I'm sure there are exceptions - you might meet someone in the library who doesn't know you are a first-year and only find out later that there is an age disparity - but older guys who go after the freshmen women usually seem to be doing so because the girls their age turned them down and they are desparate.

It's not wrong...you're age will only be about 3 years apart. Which is no big deal. And of course it possible. I know plenty of first years dating seniors in college.

go for it. Just realize that after he gets finished he will want to move back to his home state and get a job. It may not work then. But it will work while you are together.
