False prophets have been around for centuries but trinity is sound doctrine if you read isa 9:6 you'll see jesus is everlasting father a name ONLY usable for God the Father the Son is also wonderful counsellor and in John 14:25-26 Jesus says Holy Spirit is the counsellor we can see the son is all 3 As for false Christs at least 17 people alive TODAY claim to be God or ordained to fulfil Christ's role and I'm not counting the pope and even priests who claim Gods authority

Deut 13 and Deut 18 talk about false prophets and gives a definition.
If a person claims to be speaking for God and tells you to worship other gods or to go against the clear instructions of God then that person is a false prophet and should be put to death.
Any prophet that teaches that God told him the Law was nailed to the cross is a false prophet.
Any prophet that teaches that Ishmael is the promised seed is a false prophet.
Any prophet that teaches that God told them they could adopt pagan practices into their worship and change times (appointed times for worship) is a false prophet.
Any prophet that contridicts the clear teaching of the Holy Bible is a false prophet.
That would include but not exclusive to "Crazy Muslims" Jim Jones, David Koresh, Warren Jeffs, and just about every radio preacher or sunday go to meeting preacher I've ever met or heard.

Jones, Koresh, Jeffs, Falwell, LaHaye, Robertson, Dobson, Franklin Graham (not Billy).
The false prophets use the gospel to promote a false message. Muslims are not false prophets, according to the Bible, because they don't distort the gospel; they have their own sacred teachings.

In their day, they had what we have in our day and others in their time.
We have got to be careful. Matt.13:37-39; 24:3,7,14,15,21,22,36-39; 25:31-34; I think we should be able to identify what the gospel of the kingdom is and the second coming of our Lord and savior Christ Jesus to establish that kingdom and bring in the salvation promised.
Dan.12:1-13 [ Michael in the time of the end, Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12; Michael, Satan and THE WORD in the time of the end as all scriptures mentioned are for the time of the end, Satan has his short time in the time of the end to Rev.20:1-6,12,13; no Satan 1000 years, the heavenly are with Jesus at his 2nd coming Rev.3:12; 2Pet.3:13; for the new heavens to resurrect the earthly 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53; for the new earth and all is made as new as before Eden. Rev.21:1-5; After that no Satan or any like unto him Rev.20:7-10; 21:8;

They're talking about all that teach false doctrine and lead people away from the truth, which is the faith once delivered to the saints, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The bible says to try the spirits whether they be of God. Any spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
edit:
It's a fulfillment of the word of God that there are antichrists in the world.

it means people that claim to be Christ come again. or those professing to have a different way to Heaven other than the blood of Christ. we are told that there is only ONE way to Heaven (and it's really not as terrible as some people seem to think) and that when Jesus does come again everyone around the world will see him in all His glory, so unless you've seen a bright white man with holes in his hands, feet, and side coming down from the sky surrounded by angels, anyone claiming to be Him is a false prophet

Reasoning from the Scriptures
False Prophets
Definition: Individuals and organizations proclaiming messages that they attribute to a superhuman source but they do not originate with the true God and are not in harmony with his revealed will.
1 John 4:1-3 says: "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world. 2 YOU gain the knowledge of the inspired expression from God by this: Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God, 3 but every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s [inspired expression] which YOU have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world."
Matt. 7:21-23 says: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness."
Matt. 7:15-20 says: “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men]."
Matt. 24:24 says: "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones."
