Glad it's not just our household with increased decibels! It is definately the run up to Chrismas, the kids are getting excited. There seems to be no escape, Christmas ads on TV (well, at least you can switch them off!), Christmas stuff all over the shops, Christmas stuff at every house window. It is a nightmare!

My son is so bad I cannot even practice his songs for his Christmas party at playgroup - I tried once then he just increased the volume, so he will have to pretend to sing at the party!

Maybe the shops should stop all the Christmas deccys and stuff in the shops (or make it less obvious, anyway) and turn off the music blaring. After all we all know it is that time of year, we don't need it advertised!

Also, according to tradition/superstition, decorations shouldn't be put up before 24th Dec, in case it brings bad luck. We should all be more superstitious, then.

If Only!

YES! I'm a teacher and this is the craziest time of the year b/c kids are thinking about Santa, eating lots of sugar and getting off their regular schedules due to parents schedules being jam packed

Yes! I'm a primary school teacher and children are so excited and loud this time of year. It is harder to keep to their routine because of plays, parties, decorations etc. It is such a fun time leading up to Christmas, they put even the grumpiest in a good mood, don't they?

Not really... they're pretty much being normal except for the whole Christmas is soon thing they aren't louder than usual. Unless they're fighting over who circled what in the Toys R Us Big Wish Book..

Dang, I thought it was just my kids?! All those Christmas specials on tv every night get my son all hyped up, what with the gingerbread, visiting from friends, etc. Glad to see it's not just my family, lol!

Ah yes, the sugarfest that is Christmas.

Which is just one of the reasons why I refuse to have children.

i don't think any of my kids know the meaning of the word SURPRISE......they have ransacked my closet, the trunk of my car, the attic, and the garage every year since they were old enough to figure out who santa clause is. nosy little stinkers!!!! now that they are older we just wrap gift cards in big boxes....the surprise comes when they call the number on the back and find out how much each gift card is for!!!!

WHOOPS....DID YOU MEAN NOISIER OR NOSIER???? SNOOPING OR BEING LOUD???

Mine definitely are. They are 4 years old and when I pick them up from pre-school they are WIRED...OFF THE HOOK CRAZY..from the time we get home to when they go to bed. It's so hard for me to calm them down. Maybe it is the anticipation of S-A-N-T-A coming to visit our house.
