Ok, here is what happened my 2 year old son took off his diaper (which he usually does) and there was a small turd in his diaper he picked it up and put it in his mouth. I had him pinned so i could try and get it out of his mouth he would NOT open his mouth and i kept trying and panicking. Then all of a sudden he took a gulp and i knew he ended up swallowing it. Now im freaking out and don't know what i should do. Im scared he is going to get really sick. Help plz!

I know you're probably worried and disgusted right now, but I think he will be just fine, it'll come back out. If anything he might just have an upset stomach for a day. My daughter put a dog turd in her mouth when she was little and we were at someone else's house and I was mortified, but she was fine. Hope that makes you feel better.

HAHAHA.... I can laugh because I am a Mom! Ok- seriously though, his poop will not hurt him. It is disgusting and god knows why he chose to swallow it even after getting a taste but.... you could call your doctor to see if there is anyhting to watch for but I think since it came from him, it is full of his body's natural bacteria and while it may make him feel a bit sick, it shoudl not make him seriously ill. I'd say give him a breath mint and put this one in his baby book! Good luck!

He's not going to get sick, I'm assuming this is your first child. I have two kids and trust me they will eat worse then that later down the line. He'll be fine. Don't freak him out, just laugh it off. lol But just fyi, the next time your kid has something in his mouth, don't pin him down, put him face down and do it that way. lol

haha that is so funny. I'm sorry for laughing.

I know you must be worried but really he will be ok, there is no need to make him vomit it back up or bring to the ER. It was his OWN poop so you don't have to worry about diseases, viruses, bacteria and parasites, the only way to get them is if he already has them in himself.

God kids do some gross things sometimes :)

OH eeeeeeeeuch ---My sister did this when she was a baby and she is still alive and kicking after 59 years.
It wouldn't hurt to call the Dr. office and check--- Just be ready to hear a 'smile' and giggle or two !!!!!

I baby sat a girl once and she ate her own doo. I just gave her a lot of water and honestly she was fine. A lot of kids actually end up doing this.

Kids do some crazy things, I would call the doctor because I am not sure he may need to take that medicine that makes you throw it up.
