If she's saying it in a matter that it's a bad thing then she doesn't know what she's talking about. What is the crime of not paying taxes (high taxes and taxes on everything in U.S.) here in the United States? How many people complain about the tax rates here in the United States? How many people complain about what they're being taxed here in the United States? United States oppress there own people financially! Poor people suffer the most! What is the rate of Jizyah? It's the same rate as Zakah, which is 2.5% which ALL MUSLIMS must pay the obligatory Zakah as well as Non-Muslims pay the Jizyah. Just like those who refuse to pay taxes in United States, there will be a legal action. So who's the 2nd class citizens? Reason for Jizyah is imposed on enemies of Islam (those who raged war against the Ummah at the time of Prophet Muhammad salahu alahi wa'salim) and it's also imposed on the non Muslim gov't who oppressed there own people. Many Non-Muslims welcomed the Islamic gov't and rather pay Jizyah rather live in oppression. At the time Khalid Ibn Walid radi'Allah ahnhu imposed his enemies Jizyah on a SELF DEFENSE war against empires at the time. You can also read one perspective on the provided link. People need to read history and get some common sense. Asalaam Alaikum

Did not Hitler order the extermination of the Jews?
Anyone filled with fear and hate can do the same, and if enough people are likewise filled with sufficient fear and hate, they will carry out the insanity of their leader.
