£890 is a good price for a nice dress which you makes you feel good in it.
For that sort of money, you know you are getting a good quality dress for a reasonable price.
The average price of a wedding dress is atleast £2000 and many people spend over that anyway.
Good Luck on your Big Day!

That question is relative.
Firstly, your Wedding Day is one of the biggest days of your life. It should be special, unique, and enjoyable. Get help from a professional wedding planner (if you can afford it), or from the Bridesmaids. When my wife and I got married, we didn't make adequate arrangements in certain respects, and I had the pleasure of taking some of the guests home after our Reception, before going back to the hotel with my Bride. Get some help, you'll need it.
Secondly, about the dress (and the rings). My wife paid US $100 for her wedding dress and she looked spectacular. She loved the dress too. There is a recent former Miss USA or Miss America (I forget which) who won said pageant wearing a dress she picked up at a thrift store and then modified. You don't necessarily have to take out a second mortgage or sell a kidney to have a spectacular wedding dress (or set of rings).
On that note... If you happen to have £900 burning a hole in your purse, go for it! If you're taking out a loan to be able to afford your Wedding and Honeymoon, do some shopping around. There are discount wedding supply stores, online stores, and manufacturers who sell wedding dresses which sell for a fraction of the cost of other dresses which look very similar. Use the online stores as a last resort, unless your cousin is a very good tailor or seamstress, if you catch my drift.
Five years after the Wedding Ceremony is over, you don't want to have a loan (and interest) continuing to hang over your head. Money problems and lack of communication are two of the leading causes of the "D" word. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm just trying to get you to consider your choices carefully.
Like I said, if you have that kind of CASH on hand, go for it! If it is going to come from a loan (or credit card, ouch!), you should re-think it and do some shopping around. Try taking pictures of the dress you want and go to a few discount wedding supply stores. If they don't have an almost identical dress in stock, they might be able to order one for you at a fraction of the cost of the one in the fancy boutique.

It's slightly above average in some areas, less so in other parts of the country. As it is, this is your day. You won't own anything more important or more beatiful than your wedding dress. So long as you are not being ripped off for alterations I say go for it. My dress is costing close to £2000 and it is not even for a wedding, just my wife and I are celebrating our 10 years together so I am going to be the bride. I am going to love it - so you should too.
Best wishes and congratulations!

I suppose its all relative, depending on your budget, but if you do find yourself wanting to resell later on, the chances are you would only get a small percentage of this amount back in the future.
If this is too much of a stretch, you could always enquire about renting the same dress instead, and then spend some more on other parts of your special occasion as well.
Have a great day!!

It's not crazy. Some people pay up to £3000.
Obviously it's not the cheapest either: my fiancee got one for about £225. But if the one you want costs £890: go for it! We probably would have gone up to that if it was the dress she wanted, we were just lucky that she liked the cheap one best!

As long as you like the dress then no, its not a lot. What matters more than the money is the you have a perfect day and a long and happy marriage.
My dress was under £300, it done the job but I have never used it since and I have been married 16 years, the day was done 'on the cheap' but everyone had a good time, and that's what matters. Good luck for your future.

Hong Kong's mixture of feng shui and money, trams and temples however intrigue the tourist so let your self move and make it probable with Hotelbye . In Hong Kong you will eat some of the finest food you've ever tasted, you will end up impressed by the beautiful harbor and you'll feel revived by a mix of the urban, the rural and the maritime. If you should be in Hong Kong you cannot miss out the Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Wan Chai waterfront marks the unification of Hong Kong with the motherland. Also, in Hong Kong you can see the Symphony of Lights, you will surely get amaze by this wonderful little bit of art.

no no no! That seems pretty average. If you can get the dress of your dreams for under £1000, you're on to a winner.
Have a fantastic wedding and i hope you've found your dress.
