I've lost a few dogs in the last 40 years.
A cemetary is an option but this is what I do.
I respectfully bury the animal in my yard. I plant a tree or large bush on the grave as a marker. The animal then contributes to the environment and returns to your thoughts each spring when the plant comes back and blossoms.
I find this to be respectful and keeps the valued friend in your mind for the years to come.
Good Luck.

All of our dogs have been buried on my grandmother's property. They have had the land since the 60's so we kind of have our own pet cemetary.

I just cried a lot. They do have pet cemetaries, I'm not sure how that works. We just buried him in the backyard under a tree. I'm very sorry for your loss.

There are pet cemeteries, depending on where you live. Most folks just bury them in the yard. Some veterinarians will dispose of the body for a small fee.

Some communities do have a pet cemetery; you should check your local yellow pages or call a local veterinarian for guidance. Your veterinarian can also help you with plans for your lost pet, although I believe the options would be far less personal than what you are looking for.

If the neighbors arent watching make a casket and bury the guy. Or off to the vet for cremation.

If you have yard, what I like to do is bury the body and plant a tree on top of him/her. THen her body will become one with the tree/plant that you choose. If you're in an apt, see if you can use a relatives (mom, dad, grand, ect), or if all fails creamate the poor thing.

Some cities have pet cemeteries.
My mom buried all our animals in our backyard.
Many people buy urns and have their pets cremated and keep the ashes. The vet can also cremate your pet and dispose of the ashes for you. or they can just dispose of the uncremated remains as well. That varies by city.
It's really up to you.
