I 100% agree with the author. Christians are not persecuted, most of them persecute. Ask someone gay or someone not christian especially a pagan. Ask a science teacher or researcher.

As a Christian, I kind of liked it. I'm no saint, but I feel like Christ has been lost by many who call themselves Christian. I'm betting that if they make it to heaven they're going to have a lot to answer for at the gates.
I don't go to church anymore because of folks who think they are better than everyone else because they do. Christ didn't put himself above anyone and neither should we. When I see a person dragged by the hair through the streets because he or she is Christian, I'll believe Christians are being persecuted.
Happy Holidays is a perfectly acceptable greeting and includes everyone, unlike Merry Christmas. It's not like December 25th is actually Jesus birthday. No one knows when that is and half the things we do for Christmas are pagan rites anyway.
It's time to bring the spirit of Jesus Christ back into Christianity!

Once again, fireball completely misses the point.
Yes the article is very abrasive, but it does make a good point. I like the bit about "happy holidays" although I think it should apply to both atheist and believer, take the greeting as it is intended not as an insult.

Wow...
Jesus is pissed off..
Sounds like he is a little bit more pissed off.
Persecution? Nope we dint claim that. More like our rights as Americans and the Bill that states we are aloud Freedom of Religion is being taken from us..We aren't aloud to talk about our Religion or anything in the sort in our schools or stores.
Holidays are being converted to the way some atheist wants it. You know for the longest time Christians and Jews celebrated their holidays around the same time and in Harmony. The stores and schools promoted both of them. Now people's rights are being taken from them. W are not being persecuted, our rights are being taken away.
And just like that Atheist's, My Family fought in Wars and so on for the Freedom we have today..My family is a part of that history and stop taking what our grandparents and so on worked so hard for us to have.
It's Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays whatever you want to call it..I DO NT get offended when someone says Happy Holidays and I expect that they wont get mad when I sa Merry Christmas...Get over it. Learn how to Accept the Things you cannot Change! Stop acting like a little child "BUT MOMMY, TOMMY SAID THIS....WAAAA!" what should mommy say? She should tell her child that people say things all the time that we wont like, Its our job to be calm and to get over it. Life isn't fair and nothing is handed to us on a platter.

I've got to say, I like it. Of course, it gets into the "true" Christian speculation that I utterly detest, but she still makes good points.

"If you’re making a living as a whore, don’t feign umbrage when someone starts bashing virginity."
Nice quote...lol.
Naturally I agree with the general idea of this article. "Christians" seem to define "persecution" as having to tolerate the existence of other viewpoints. And it really ought to go without saying that "Christian" "Conservatives" who have supported and continue to support the Bush Administration have no business even uttering the word "morality."

It's not really an "article," it's more like a blog entry.
And the author seems as hypocritical and hateful as the people s/he condemns.
Overall, it receives the following grade: "Meh."
EDIT: it seems that this person writes on this subject occasionally. Here's another example: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/NanceGreggs/302 Sounds like s/he is fixated on condemning the wrong person. Change comes from within us; you cannot change another person -- especially not by throwing verbal stones.
