Could be a sign of B12 deficiency, but nothing to really worry over. I would not rush her to the Dr, but mention it the next time your see the Dr for any other reasons.

I have thick, fine, soft blonde hair.. Always have. However, to this day, I still find strands of what I affectionately call "mommy hair" in my head. A wiry, kinky, dark brown hair... Just like the hair my mom has. I only find one every blue moon, but it makes me smile every time it happens. :) I don't think it's anything to worry about, it's apparently possible to grow two different types of hair at the same time.

My daughter, who has this huge head of beautiful hair has a little clump of about 6 hairs that are white like that.
She's had it since at least 2nd grade, she will graduate from high school this spring. Trust me - she has been poked and prodded by doctors more than 99% of kids (she has a birth defect) - those little white hairs are nothing.

My son had one white hair when he was little. Now he's 15 and has quite a few in a patch. I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh my God take her to the ER!!
Just kidding. One wacky hair is nothing to worry about. If a whole bunch of them start popping up, then maybe take her to the doc.

Wow, that is weird. I think I would certainly talk to the Pediatrian about it and do an internet search. Gosh, good luck on this one.
