Your best bet is to get a college degree in aviation. There are many colleges that offer aviation curriculums. Western Michigan University is one; Embry Riddle is another.

Before you enroll, though, do some research on how many people graduate from these programs, and how many are actually flying for the airlines. Then find out what the others are doing - it's usually teaching at little airports here, there, and so on, or spinning pizzas, or any number of other jobs.

The other way is to join the military, and become a military pilot. When you get the choice to fly jets or heavy transports or bombers, go for the big boys. A big 787 flies more like a C135 than an F18. Once you get out, start applying to all the big airlines.

you need to be at least 17 to get a student Pilot license and the you need to get the ATP. But airlines require that their pilots should be 23 at least
