Usually several weeks. Someone who is injecting heroin may become very able at finding unusual points in the body to inject themselves so as to avoid detection. There are also other ways to consume this lethal, addictive, illegal substance that would not leave marks. If you are worried that someone is using, you need help. I suggest Al-Anon or Codependents Anonymous. They are on the web and can help you cope with an impossible situation. If you are using, please contact Narcotics Anonymous to help you stop. All of these services are free and very effective.

Not sure on heroin. I do know that I used to give plasma and the scar is still there. It was like 5 yrs ago. My advice look on Web MD in the search put in heroin track marks it should pull up pics for you.

They never go away because they have become scar tissue. You can cover them up with make up. Or better yet just dont worry about them
