um... wow.... john lennon was not an atheist. he was a follower of Guru Deva. listen to "across the universe". the chorus says it right there. he did believe in God. He just didnt believe in Christianty. please spread your hate elsewhere

Ok, Jesus Christ isnt needed for peace. His name actually has caused the opposite, many religious wars have been fought and many have died. I still believe that Jesus was a great man who might have been equal to God, but he isnt a good example of peace. John Lennon wasnt an atheist but he hated the christian and stuck to just believing in God and not doing all exaggerated things that different churches do. He and George were strongly under Indian influence. People obsess over John because he was a great singer, a strong peace activist, and he said what he wanted to say, not what other people wanted him to. John Lennon is my hero.

It is very easy to have peace without Christ - ask a Zen Buddhist. As for Christmas, we are forced to celebrate it because the Christians stole it from the Pagans.
I prefer to celebrate the mid winter fest or the Sun Returns fest.
