I would concentrate more on things that you and she have shared over the years....happy things that are important to both of you, not what is taking her away from you.
I also, having lost my mother to breast cancer, think you should wait a little bit, too.
Depending on the type of relationship you have with her and her overall opinion on tattoos, you may wish to tell her you want to tattoo something in her memory and ask her what would make her happiest.
If you want the pink ribbon, keep it as only a small aspect of the tattoo, not the focal point.
I wish you much strength.

I'm so sorry, if she is well enough to go with you to get it done, I'd really recommend that you go together. Maybe she could get the same tattoo as well? I know you are expecting her to pass away, however, it will be a beautiful memory that will live with you forever. Getting tattooed is such a memorable time and it would be a really incredible way to spend time together. My prayers are with you and your family.

On L.A. Ink the girls did an awesome one with a pink ribbon ... The girl who received it absolutely loved it and I did, too. I am pretty sure you can go to the t.v. site and take a look at the tattoos they have done.
I am so incredibly sorry to hear about your mother. I wish you strength and peace throughout this terrible time in your life.

No, they don't. Perhaps in very, very infrequent occasions wherein the tattoo is completed like w/ home made merchandise, might be a few unusual carcinogenic factor would get within the ink or anything.. however total, no, without doubt no longer.

I think you should get the pink breast cancer ribbon logo.
It's easily recognised; also, it's really cute and girly.

The tattoooist could easily add different tones of pink and perhaps a hint of purple to make it look more 3D/real.

You should get pink boxing gloves with your moms name on them to represent her battle or fight against breast cancer.
The pink color represents - women, breast cancer, feminity
The boxing gloves represent- the fight, the battle,
The name- a unique symbol that is only your mom
I am truely sorry and happy holidays!
