today in medicine people are diagnosed with have multiple personalities or hearing voices and are given drugs or treatments to help them.

well if one were to not be diagnosed or treated and found by some religious people and the person were to ether look like he/she is possesed or he/she is saying that god is talking to them
would you think they are crazy, possesed or prophet? how would you know the difference?

tebone: what if the person hearing things was hearing good thoughts, is that still evil, i think you hate crazy people because they are different, you should like read a book that has rules or something, where you are supposed to be nice and forgiving.

audevidetace,
you give me a person who is crazy/insane that will admit they are crazy/insane and i will believe you. i know of no record that shows or have any personal experience where a crazy person knows and said they are crazy. the ones who have said that were actually never crazy to begin with and just had a medical problem that was cured.

Pray. And then... I don't know... flip a coin. I heard those magic eight-balls do wonders.

This is a good question.

Two years ago I believed (and still do) that I saw a bright light, and weird things and even heard voices for seven months. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The entity was always the same in the same location, etc. And this person (spirit) was actually a real person who had committed suicide at the school I was currently attending and I smoked cigarettes where she landed (after she jumped off the bell tower). The medicine didn't do anything but make me gain weight and I was thirsty all the time.

I decided that I was going to stop taking it and did some research in the archives and what not and decided that I was not schizophrenic. I went to see several different doctors after I stopped taking the medicine and explained to them what was going on, and they didn't believe that I had any signs or symptoms of the disease.

It's a tough call, but I would definitely suggest getting several opinions if you are ever in that situation.

And to add to the situation, I was not alone in seeing and hearing these things. Two of my friends were with me at the time... and the doctor's knew this.

If you are a Born Again Christian doing the Lords will when you meet someone posessed you will know it. Your Spirit will testify within you, you get a really bad feeling when you meet someone who a demon has taken over. Obviously there are people who are just sick and need help but as a Christian you can learn to discern the difference. Are you a Born Again Christian? Do you believe in Jesus? If you do believe in Jesus and are walking by the Spirit and not the flesh you will learn to tell the difference, but trust me it is a scary feeling that will make you shiver all over the first couple times you feel it. I was in Law enforcement for years and thats how it became known to me that the bad feelings I was getting around some people was actually the demon inside them. My pastor helped me a lot to. And the sad part is all you can do is Pray for them because they have to want deliverance and once that demon takes over there probably not going to change their minds. If you know someone like this talk with your pastor about them and put them on every prayer list you can. Only God can cast that demon out and some only come out by prayer and fasting, God Bless YOU and Merry Christmas

medicine looks for cures.
In Judaism a prophet looks for what caused the problem. I think the crazy know down deep what is wrong they just can't face it and the prophets are trying to see down deep why those problems started in the first place.

People who are schizophrenic hear voices that are familiar to them and they always speak of evil and hateful things, wanting them to do harm to themselves.

God speaks to us thru our hearts ,thru the bible, thru other people and situations

If they are talking to YOU, you will KNOW in your heart if it is God.
If it AGREES with the Bible, then it is God.

Sometimes God talks to us through circumstances, or other people, or straight into our ears.
