you didn't mention how long would be the period and how often will you pour cola-cola in it...

but most likely, it would die after a given period of time...

there are various compounds in the cola that are not suited for the plant.

There are acids.. sugar and more..

plants need water and minerals, not these stuffs...

Soil and liquid volumes are not given but are critical to evaluating possible outcomes. Plants do not need additional sugar they make enough for their needs through photosynthesis. If you use sugar heavy soda to hydrate the soil there could eventually be a problem of root dehydration if the sugar builds up faster than the soil bacteria can consume it. Small amounts of sugar solution at low concentrations would not do any harm but on a regular basis it is much better to give plants water. Plants can take sugar up through their roots if the concentration is very low but at high levels the cells of the root will lose water to the hypertonic sugar solution saturated soil. This means the root cells will lose turgor pressure and no longer supply the plant with needed water. The plants will likely wilt rather abruptly if this happens.

So it will be answer A if on small seedling
answer B if on 50 year old tree

I think you must define what type of plant it is, some plant will just eat up the acids like blue berry while others like tomatoes may react and die after one application. What plant, how often, how much, are you still giving it water too??
