a few months ago we found out that my brothers 20yr old daughter has cancer after doctors have been telling her for almost a year that she's just fine. now we find out that she's in the last stages of cancer and we have until this weekend to say goodbye. how does one say goodbye by this weekend its also my daughters birthday this weekend. please know that this is no joke, most of our family is in denial but i can't hide from reality. i feel like i inhaled now i'm waiting to exhale but i'm so scared of the out come of my feelings if i exhale

Take the oppurtunity to say goodbye, it may be hard...but at least you get a chance to say it....my niece at 4 years old passed away from a heart condition, its painful....but at least your family can take the remaining time she has and show her how loved she is....

I think that you should take a deep breath and go over and be there for your family. I understand that it is your daughters birthday but right now your brother needs you. It is never easy saying good bye to someone that you love and care for especially in this situation but you need to be there. I don't know how old your daughter is but you should let her know the reasons why celebrating her birthday this weekend might not be so good of course if she is old enough. I am sure that you are going to be able to celebrate with her after everything this weekend. My prayers are with you and your family.

Life is about birthdays and dying. Age has nothing to do with it. I'm not sure how they know that your niece will die this weekend, but I wouldn't wait. Visit her today, tell her how much you love her and how much you will miss her and not to be afraid.

Have your daughters birthday party, life is for the living.

I'm sorry for your loss.
