The best evidence you can find to back up your claim is a layman's opinion piece from an unreputable web page that was created by who knows who? Can't you find a reputable web site? No reputable sources for your claims? I wonder why.

the national geographic newsroom obviously is not full of scientists - if it was, they would have known what has been known for years: mars warming is not due to the sun - of course they had an update for your link that corrects it:

Mars has a fever... There is warming throughout the solar system. Most new evidence suggests this is attributed to solar activity. It is likely a cycle that has not been observed/understood.
Here is a link to another "layman's opinion" (unreputable [sic]?) web page:

Solar system is not warming...it has maintained the same temp throughout the Universe for eons according to the astronomers. Very cold.

Just a few planets, for different reasons. So the Sun is not getting warmer (it's actually getting a bit cooler). Don't take my word for it, the scientific proof is in the links.
On Mars, NASA says it's because of giant dust storms, unique to Mars.

The scientific data shows that this is NOT a natural cycle on Earth:

EDIT - The national geographic site you (and Jason S) quote is just their news report about what one scientist claims.
"Abdussamatov's work, however, has not been well received by other climate scientists."
Here's what National Geographic ( and most all the world's scientists) knows:

We might as well blame this on ourselves since global warming seems to be blamed for everything else anyway. Ice caps are melting, global warming. It was hot yesterday. Global warming. It was cold today. Global warming. I lost my car keys. Global warming. Where does it stop?????

I'm sure a few lefties will say so!
Jeez...WE emit CO2 everytime we exhale! Humans produce a whopping 3% of the total CO2 into the atmosphere...the whole scare is a farce!
Personally, I'd worry more about Carbon MONOXIDE...not DIOXIDE!
