Birds migrate vast distances. Many birds fly from Florida to the Midwest and beyond. There are four basic flyways that birds in North America use for migration.

The Mississippi Flyway: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/birding/migration/flyways/mississippi/

The Atlantic Flyway: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/birding/migration/flyways/atlantic/

The Pacific Flyway: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/birding/migration/flyways/pacific/

There are several species and subspecies of Crane in the US - the endangered Whooping Crane, and two species of Sandhill Crane.

The Whooping Crane has a lifespan of about 25 years. One of the places that is actively engaged in the conservation efforts for Whooping Cranes is Necedah National Wildlife Refuge in Wisconsin, where each year the new chicks are taught to migrate by following an ultra-light aircraft.

The much more common Sandhill Crane also lives 20-25 years.

Let it go. If she is a treat to others then tell, but otherwise write down as an overdue bad experience. I am a romantic so my first reaction was she wanted to rekindle an old flame that perhaps gave her meaning at the time. This being lost in he now world. Being a realist, I protect my heart even if it is flattering to my pride, my ego. Perhaps her outrageous behavior of old is dead an gone so give her the benefit of a doubt. Otherwise, walk carefully when in those remember rooms of the heart. Like in the song 'The Way We Were", we tend to remember the laughter, not the hurt.

Yes. Some birds migrate over 10,000 miles. Check this link out. It is a table of different birds and the distances they migrate.
