Although some are basically mocking by saying be crucified what they really don't understand is that is good advice. You have to die to self daily. Pick up your cross and follow Christ. It is about leaving your sinful nature behind and doing the things that the Father wants you to do. It is easier said then done, that is for sure But you cant not do it alone you must ask for help every step if the way. That is why we are to pray without ceasing. God Bless you and may peace be yours.

Study his teachings through the Bible.
Pray daily for guidance.
Try to live his teachings. (<-the hard part)
At the end of each day, take a moment to reflect. Did you behave in a Christlike manner that day? Why not? How would you do things differently? How can you make amends to the people you have hurt for not behaving in a loving manner? What did you do right?

I think it's important you don't try and do anything. Let the Holy Spirit do the transforming work as any fleshly efforts on your part won't make the changes necessary to conform you to the image of Christ. One of the workings of the Holy Spirit is to perform the on-going sanctification process which continues all your life.

Be loving and accepting of EVERYONE. Especially the ones that need it the most. Jesus spoke the Gospel to Lepers and prostitutes. He disagreed openly with the religious leaders of his day. True Christianity is loving others and reaching out to them and allowing God's love to flow through you to others, especially the most "unlovable".
Good luck and God Bless you!

I agree.
Love God first, and He lets you LOVE PEOPLE!!!
He lets you get your mind off of yourself
and THEN all His blessings will chase YOU!
I promise!
The Bible promises.
You show the love of Christ by givng your time to people who simply need a smile--a meal--- clothing---a pat on the back---a hug--
visit nursing homes---and JUST SPEAK and you will see EYES LIGHT UP!
get what I am saying?

There are two types of Christians... overcomers and non-overcomers. Jesus was the ultimate overcomer. If you want to become more like Him, do what He did.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Spend more time with Him & His word. It's like having a good close friend or a spouse; their behaviour, mannerism, outlook of life & even their expressions rubs off on you.
