Havinga ticket is a way of controling who is allowed to get in. It does not mean you have to pay for it. If not then you would have a mad rush of people trying to get in, such as you have in certain other countries. People saying " well you let him in why not me." This will eliminate that.

His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, will visit Washington D.C. and New York in April 2008.

Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.: The Mass celebrated by the Pope – to be held at the new Nationals Park baseball stadium – will be the largest event during his Washington visit. Free tickets will be distributed; details will be announced at a later date. http://www.adw.org/home.asp

Archdiocese of New York: Some ticket information has been released: http://www.archny.org/papalvisit/tickets/

With love in Christ.

You need to get tickets from the archdioceses of New York, or, I'm guessing, D.C.

I didn't know the Pope was a baseball fan. Will he throw out the first pitch?

I do not believe they charge. You just need to be there in line to get in.
