Do they have free will, and face judgement, etc. like humans? Are they immortal? If they ARE immortal, when do they face judgement. I am sooo confused on this whole angel thing.

Wow - it just sounds like everyone is making itup as they go along. No mention of their creation anywhere in the Bible...Half say they have free will, half say they don't - but some chose to go with the Devil... theyare immortal, but can be slain by demons...

Angels were made by God sometime before he created man because the fall of Satan had to happen before he tempted Adam and Eve. They have free will and face judgement because Satan is an angel who rebeled against God and was cast out of heaven.

There is a lot of speculation regarding angels because not much information about them are given in the Bible. From my understanding, the word that was translated to angel, simly means messanger, as does the word angel.

That said, there are angels on earth (human) in my belief. I also believe that there is a seperate entity, which we more commonly think of when we speak of angels. Lucifer was one of those, and was in fact bannashed to hell before Adam and Eve were ever created.
I would say Lucifer faced his judgement almost instantaniously.

Even though the Bible doesn't really say that angels are immortal, I believe them to be. We, in fact are immortal. Our bodies may die, but ultimately, our souls will eather spend eternity in one place or the other.

Angels have faced their judgment. They chose to go with Lucifer, and 1/3 of them did, or they chose to stay and worship God. After that I don't believe they have free will, though the Bible doesn't say either way. If they do, they are a true testament to faith and solidarity in the Lamb of God. They are immortal, for they are of God. Both demons and angels are immortal. They only exist now to do God's bidding, whatever that may be.

Yes, they were created before Adam & Eve.
No, they won't face judgement.
No, they aren't immortal. They can be slain by demons.

Try reading Frank Peretti's books "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing The Darkness". EXCELLENT stories with accurate descriptions and activities of angels and demons.

Angels are very enigmatic characters, no one really knows completely what they did. We'll have to wait for the beyond. I think some are immortal, but not in the sense that they never die. After all, there are wars and in our understanding of wards there is death. However, they were created before Adam and Eve, because Lucifer, the fallen angel, appeared to Adam and Eve in the Garden.

It seems as though the angels were made before man, I am
not sure about created. They must have free will because a
third followed satan. They do face judgement, the ones who
followed satan that is : see 2pet 2:4 For if God did not spare
the angels who sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus &
delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgement" Also Jude 6 And the angels who did not keep
their proper domain, but left their own habitation, He has
reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the
judgement of the great day.

Job 38: 1 And Jehovah proceeded to answer Job out of the windstorm and say:

2 “Who is this that is obscuring counsel
By words without knowledge?

3 Gird up your loins, please, like an able-bodied man,
And let me question you, and you inform me.

4 Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth?
Tell [me], if you do know understanding.

5 Who set its measurements, in case you know,
Or who stretched out upon it the measuring line?

6 Into what have its socket pedestals been sunk down,
Or who laid its cornerstone,
7 When the morning stars joyfully cried out together,
And all the sons of God began shouting in applause?

> This shows they were around prior to the creation of the earth.

1 Tim 6:, 16 the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light,

tells us at the time of writting 1 Timothy, only Jesus has immortality.

This was given to Jesus as a reward for his faithful service to his God and Father. (Eph 3:1,17)

Immortality literally means 'can not die'

All of God's creatures angels and man can die, unless Jehovah grants them immortal life, which is different from eternal life, which means they can live forever, and not that they can not die.

and Yes the unfaithful angels and Satan will be destroyed for their unfaithfulness.

I don't think that there is a definitive answer that will cover all the bases. If angels were created first with freewill, then god didn't need to create humans to freely love him, also he didn't learn anything from Satan rebelling. Then if they don't have freewill why and how could they rebel? Basically anyway it's presented there are some serious flaws in it.

the angels existed before God laid the foundations of the universe. they are immortal, they have free will and they will face judgment. God judges no-one; our judgment will be conducted by Christ and the angels will be judged by humans.
Remember that 1/3 of the angels followed Satan and were thrown down with him. One other thing, immortal does not mean indestructible.
