IF older than a 1997 model, Autozone.com has online repair manuals for the f-150 for free.
http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm
IF newer, alldatadiy.com is good but you pay to access it
Dealer level books can be accessed for a fee at www.motorcraft.com
But since you didn't say what year, it's hard to help you.
It's a sealed unit so any leaks internally or hard stopping issues would require change out... but I've had a few of the newer trucks loose the vac line to the booster behind the intake..not pretty

The Haynes or Chilton manuals can help you, but you'll need a certain amount of mechanical aptitude, as well as tools, to do a decent repair.
If you decide to have it done, the website below will help you find a mechanic in your area that other people have used and recommend.

Do you have a Haynes manual for this truck?? They are available at Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, Napa, and other parts houses. The manual would show you and give you more info about what you're looking for.

you cant find a leak in the booster, it is the big black thing inside the engine near where the driver sits by the firewall, by the windshield, you can not fix them , you replace them,

If you don't know what it is or where it's at you shouldn't be working on it.
