Jesus set aside being God, came to earth as man, humbled himself on the cross to die for my sin, and now is exaulted above all by God.

I was born with a hearing impairment (and a match speech impairment caused by my hearing.) It caused me to retreat into a shell, avoid contact with much of anyone, and pretty much withdraw from life.

A older Christian couple took me under the wings, and began to show me the true of the Christian faith. I had been raised in it, but left it years before. When I finally made a committment to Jesus, he opened up the whole purpose of my life. Almost overnight he changed me to where I had a deep desire to help and serve others.

Over the decades since, he has placed me back into the mainstream of "life". I have traveled literally around the world helping people for him. He has set me in a church where I can help and mentor others. I have taught the 4-5 year olds for over 20 years now, and find a special calling because so many of the children do not have a father in their home, and need the presence of a "male" in their lives.

So for me, Jesus gave me a whole meaning in live - serving him and others.

On the issue of Jesus' race, the Bible says that he was Jewish. He would have looked similar to the Middle East Jews or Arabs we see today.

Some of Jesus's ideas have changed my thinking a little.

Repent.
Forgiveness.
Peace.
Arise.
Completely Whole.
Grace.
The best leader is a servant.
No one is great but the God of Judaism.
Coming out of the world of idealized Hollywood, California, and becoming aware of the idealized Kingdom of God.
Storytelling - The Prodigal Son - The Prodigal Daughter - story.
God of Judaism's Kingdom come.

etc.

The Bible, in general, is as good as, if not better, than most soap operas stories/other tales today (my view).

I can Look to HIM for everything....> He Lifts me OUT of Many dier Circumstances..... He shows Me that everything will always work Out for my Good. He provides All My Needs. > He stands By Me, no matter what. > He fills My heart with Peace and JOY, (even when things Look Very grim). He has Taught me to let go Of things I LONG for....He brings it Back to me in another Dimension! He has transformed me into a New Person. ( Has been doing this for 4I Years.) (smile) He has Healed my Body when It was wracked with Pain. There is No Friend In this World Like Jesus!! Why would anyone Want to LIVE WITHOUT HIM? "Thank You Jesus, For YOUR wondrous LOVE" YES...AMEN! Jeremiah 33:3.

Jesus saved me and cares for me. He never changes so I know that I can count on Him when I can't count on anyone else. do you really want the whole list because I can go on forever. I mean literally forever. Every single day I am reminded of his love. He let me be born and raised in America where I wasn't prejudiced for my faith (until I got on this site). I was born in a mediocre family so I could understand how slim the line is from being poor to being well- off. I have never been hungry, and I've always had a roof over my head. etc.

I was involved in a lifestyle of drugs (mixing LSD with speed and booze and downers, et cetera), and when someone prayed for me, Jesus revealed Himself to me as the Son of God, and when I actually said "OK" to this "revelation", I was immediately and completely set free from the drugs, booze, even cigs.

When people say that Jesus "saved" them, it means He set them free from slavery to sin. We are all slaves to sin, and sin pays us by sending us to hell. Jesus sets us free from sin and it's eternal consequences. Jesus gives us a new heart, a clean conscience, and the power to do what is right. ("Freedom is not the right to do what you want, but the power to do what is right.") Then He adopts us into His Forever Family.

He did all this by dying on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (crimes against God - refer to the list of the 10 Commandments). In fact, the Bible says that even though Jesus had never done or known any sin at all, yet He actually became sin, trading places with us and taking our place.

Jesus was Jewish. He would have had dark, probably olive-colored skin. Not black, as an African, but a middle-easterner, and tanned as someone who lived and worked outdoors.

Jesus, oddly enough opened me to the fact that he was Jewish. So I left Christianity behind and studied Judaism. Not to convert or anything, but to deprogram myself from years of directed and systematic misinformation. I can say that Jesus was the reason why I quit being a Christian.

He's given me peace, happiness and contentment. I know that whenever I go to Him in prayer, He hears me and will answer in His timing. Because His love is in me, I really care about others and try to always be an example of His love and compassion. He is everything to me! He is my best friend! I believe Jesus looks nothing like the pictures we see of Him, as He was born Jewish and they have olive complexions. God bless you!!!

Jesus has given me peace in my life, he has helped me to be kinder and loving towards people. Jesus gives me the strength to do right things even when they are tough.
There is no evidence that supports him being black. Everyone wants Jesus to look like him/herself. :) He had the appearance of a jewish middle eastern man.
